The Festival offers discounts to seniors (60+), children (under 16s), full-time students, job seekers and registered disabled. These are strictly limited and subject to availability.
£12 Greater Manchester residents
A number of tickets for every performance will be on sale exclusively for Greater Manchester residents at just £12. These tickets are intended to make the Festival more accessible to local people on a lower wage. Half of the tickets will be available by phone only on 0844 375 2013 and will be available on a first come, first served, honesty basis. We are also working with networks in Greater Manchester to identify communities and groups who qualify for this scheme.
Sending, collecting and reprinting tickets
Tickets for general admission (unreserved) events will be posted out two weeks before the performance.
For reserved events tickets will be posted in advance.
Tickets purchased within three days of the event can be collected from the Festival Box Office, in Festival Square, or from the venue box office, which will be clearly marked in the foyer or entrance.
For events with restricted capacities tickets will be available to collect from a designated point, one hour before the performance. When collecting tickets you will be asked to provide your booking confirmation and the card you paid with. If the card holder will not be present, you should make MIF aware beforehand by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
If you have not received your tickets before the event or they are lost, contact the ticket agent directly.
Refunds and exchanges
All tickets for Manchester International Festival events are sold through our box office partner Quaytickets and other external ticket agents. Please take care to read the agent’s terms and conditions when purchasing tickets. Tickets booked directly from venues or other agents are strictly non-refundable. If available, Quaytickets will facilitate exchanges between MIF events.
Should you be unable to attend an event due to extenuating circumstances, please email email@example.com and we will deal with refund/ exchange requests on a case by case basis.
At MIF, we believe that all customers should be given equal opportunity to purchase tickets at face value. We aim to stop the practice of reselling and therefore any tickets bought to be resold — at face value or a higher price — will be cancelled with immediate effect. This includes tickets sold through Ebay, Viagogo, and other ticket reselling websites, so you risk spending money on invalid tickets if you purchase tickets from these sites. Anyone found to be purchasing tickets for re-selling will be refused purchase of tickets for any further MIF13 events. In addition, all of our events will have security checks, where you will be asked to provide proof of purchase.
