    Beth Allen was the choir director for John Tavener for MIF13. For more details, please visit the event page by following the link in the left hand panel.

    Beth Allen trained as an Opera Singer at the Royal Scottish Academy, then as a Music Therapist at Guildhall and as Voice Specialist at Central School of Speech and Drama. She has been a Stage Performer and Television Presenter but Voice has always been at the core of her work. In 2003 Beth was Vocal Coach on the successful large scale Lowry Theatre Community Show ‘Love on the Dole’ and since then has been Deputy Leader of Manchester Community Choir (2 years) and set up as Co-leader Bury Met Community Choir and Rossendale Community Choir. Beth spent 5 years as Lancashire’s Sing Up Creative Leader encouraging singing in Primary schools. In the summer of 2009 she led the Preston Waterfront Festival Choir leading to the Preston Guild Choir and their formal performances at the Guild Celebrations Summer ’12. She is a songwriter and arranger and also performs in a Comedy Duo, Doolally.
