Your support

Manchester International Festival is the only festival in the world of original, new work and special events. Individual donations make up a vital part of our funding – with your help, we can ensure that MIF continues to be a unique, ambitious, world class event.

As Gilbert & George have instructed on their 10 commandments for the MIF13 commission do it 2013:

                                            ‘thou shalt give something back.’

For MIF13, your support has helped us provide life-changing opportunities for local communities who take part in the Festival through MIF Creative projects such as:

• Forming the multi faith Sacred Sounds Women’s Choir of 70 singers, who rehearsed weekly and performed together on stage at The Bridgwater Hall for the commission Tavener.

• Delivered the world premiere of children’s story ZigZag ZigZag in workshops across the city region to 780 school children

• The free events at The Biospheric Project enabling around 2,000 visitors to experience a new type of thriving, green growing space and urban agriculture

Donations also supported our new £12 ticket scheme, which allowed Greater Manchester residents to experience MIF’s ground breaking commissions at affordable prices.

With your help we can ensure that Manchester International Festival continues to be a unique, ambitious and world-class event. Every gift, no matter what size, makes a real difference in helping to provide us with much needed funds.
