European Award for Feedback
Feedback, one of the shows from last year’s The Great Indoors project at Manchester International Festival, has picked up the Young Audience Music Award from the European Youth and Music Organsisation.
Feedback saw musician Bert Bernaerts and mime artist Rudi Galindo lead children through an interactive expedition into the universe of music, using electronics and new technologies. Ordinary actions performed by the audience – cycling, jumping, drawing – lead unexpectedly to music and surprising images, resulting in a game of musical ping-pong between the actors and the audience.
Feedback was developed for the Festival by Muziektheater Transparant, a production company based in Antwerp specialising in opera and music theatre.
