'Becoming a pioneer made sure I got access to the performances I really wanted to see, as well as adding to the experience with the various talks and preview events that I was able to attend. It feels important to support something that is a genuinely aspirational occasion for the city.’
Joining our group of Festival Pioneers allows you to experience the Festival in a unique way, at the same time ensuring the continuation of our work through a meaningful financial donation.
MIF13 Pioneers benefited from the following:
- Invitations to attend the MIF Programme Press Launch and Opening Night VIP Party with a guest
- Tickets for MIF commissions up to a specific value
- Priority ticket bookings and enquiries via a dedicated Account Manager
- Tickets for dress rehearsals, previews and exclusive behind-the-scenes Festival events
- Named acknowledgement in the MIF Brochure, on the MIF website and at Festival Square (if so desired).
There were two levels of donation for 2013: £1,500+ and £5,000+.

'Personally supporting Manchester International Festival’s work with local children, who had the unique opportunity to attend a magical, music experience tailor made to their special needs was a great delight. I will never forget my own experience when I toured the wonderful Music Boxes installation to conduct the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, learn the ukelele and climb through a dreamtime chamber!'

Manchester International Festival Commissioning Circle (MIFCC)
MIF introduced a Commissioning Circle for 2013 and Alex Poots, Artistic Director and CEO, selected three new commissions for the Circle that expressed the broad spectrum of work the Festival creates.
The Chair and MIF are inviting like-minded friends to create a circle of up to twelve interested individuals to come on the commissioning journey with us and learn how these works are formed. Through a calendar of exclusive behind the scenes activities and involvement, the Circle will learn about the commissioning process whilst developing a closer relationship with the three works and the Festival as it happens.
Benefits include site visits and previews to better understand these new works.
To join the MIFCC for 2015, donations start at £10,000. For more detailed information and to arrange a discussion on how you could become involved please contact email@example.com
